history

Archaeological finds prove a settlement of the municipality area since the Paleolithic around 10,000 BC. The first written mention of the village of Hosstyssowalhota , which belonged to the Količín rule, came in 1397 when, after the death of Peter Holický von Sternberg, his heirs Peter von Krawarn and Marquart von Sternberg built the Količín Castle with the villages of Blazice , Hosstyssowalhota , Količín, Lechotice , Machová , Markov, Meziříčí, Míškovice , Mysločovice , Racková , Sazovice , Siročý and Žeranovice to the brothers Zdenko and Jesko Lukovský von Sternberg. 1446 signed Lacek von Sternberg Hosstissow together with Lechotice to Mikeš von Milčany. In 1464 the place was called Hossczissow . In 1481 Jan Důň and Markéta von Žákovice Hostissow left to Albrecht the Elder of Sternberg, who attached it to his lordship Holešov .

In 1588, Charles the Elder from Zerotein became the owner of Holešov, including Hostissiowa , and at the beginning of the 17th century the Lobkowicz boogers followed . In 1650 Johann von Rottal acquired the rule. The oldest local seal dates from 1699, it shows a bunch of grapes and bears the inscription Peczet obeczni diediny Hostissowe . The first news about the bailiwick of Hostissiowa that could be bought comes from the year 1747, when Bartoloměj Krejčí bought it for 120 guilders. Since the village was off the beaten track, the bailiwick did not have a tavern. The beer was brought into the houses after the labor was done. After the von Rottal family had died out , the Counts of Würben inherited the rule in 1762 . In 1797 the Podsednik Tomáš Dovrtěl bought himself free from the Robot for 800 guilders and became Vogt. Until the middle of the 19th century, the place remained subservient to Holešov.

After the abolition of patrimonial Hostěšow formed from 1850 a municipality in the district authority Holešov. The inhabitants lived primarily from agriculture, for the expansion of which the surrounding forests were gradually cut down. On the initiative of the agricultural pioneer František Skopalík from Záhlinice, land consolidation began in Hostěšow in 1858 by merging plots of land. Between 1870 and 1872 the Trnovec forest, which was 250 bushels in size, was converted into arable land, and every inhabitant could clear whatever was possible. In 1884 the land consolidation was given a legal basis by state law. The current place name Hostišová has been used since 1893. In 1900 the municipality bought the Vesník forest . As a result, the number of landowners was reduced from 54 to 29 by 1910. Since 1913, a new local seal was used, depicting a scene from the Visitation of the Virgin Mary. It was not until 1923 that 400 crowns were raised for every measure of field gained.

After the expansion of the Baťa works in Zlín in the 1930s, most of the residents were on wages and salaries for the company. In 1935 the municipality was assigned to the new Zlín District and Judicial District. At the end of the Second World War, on May 5, 1945, the Romanian Army, with the support of partisans, took the place after heavy fighting with the Wehrmacht. In 1945 the municipality bought the Jarníky forest for clearing. From 1950 Hostišová belonged to the Okres Gottwaldov-okolí and from 1960 to the Okres Gottwaldov , which has been called Okres Zlín again since 1990. Between 1980 and 1990 Hostišová was incorporated into Mysločovice . The community has had a coat of arms since 1994 and a banner since 2002.
