Martinice ( German Martinitz ) is an agricultural community and is located about 20 kilometers from the district town of Kroměříž in the Zlínský kraj region ( Czech Republic ). About 650 people live on 470 hectares.
The village stretches along the Mojena river without its own center. In 1262 it was first mentioned as villa Martinicz and most of the time it belonged to the Olomouc chapter . The first school was built in 1858.
