history

The first written mention of the place came in 1355 when Vladike Jimram von Honeticz sold the Honeticz farm to the brothers Stach and Skoch von Troubky. In the course of time the estate was divided several times and the owners changed frequently. In 1437 Jan Dúpnik von Nitkovice owned the entire Honieticz estate . He sold it to Oneš von Zástřizl in 1446 . His sons Oneš and Hynek signed Honieticz in 1491 in the land table to Jaroš von Zástřizl, who added it to his rule Morkovice. In 1523 Honieticz was separated from Morkovice and sold to the brothers Vítek and Jan von Dobrčice. Vítek, who later became the sole owner of the estate, sold it in 1540 to Jindřich von Zástřizl, who attached it to his rule Cetechovice. In 1655 Melichar Ledenický from Ledenice on Cetechovice Honieticz sold to Jan Kokorský from Kokor. The estate was thus connected to the Zdislavice rule. Other owners included the Ottislaw von Kopenitz and Dubský von Třebomyslice families. The oldest local seal dates from 1693 and showed a ploughshare. Until the middle of the 19th century, the village always remained submissive to Zdislavice.

After the abolition of patrimonial Honětice / Honietitz formed from 1850 a municipality in the district administration Kroměříž. The residents lived from agriculture. In 1869 the village had 344 inhabitants and in 1900 there were 392. In 1870 a primary school was established in the village. In 1930 the community had a cadastral area of 369 hectares, and 357 people lived in the 83 houses in the village. Since the second half of the 20th century, the population of Honětice has declined significantly. At the beginning of 1986 Honětice was incorporated into Litenčice. Since January 1st, 1993 Honětice has again formed its own municipality.
