history

Archaeological finds prove a settlement of the municipality area since the Paleolithic . Kyselovice was laid out as a rural village and is the oldest documented place in the Okres Kroměříž.

The village was first mentioned in writing in 1078 in the founding document of the Benedictine monastery of St. Stephan near Olomouc . Kisselowici , along with other villages, belonged to the donation of the Duchess Ofka and her husband Otto the Beautiful to the order. In 1160 King Vladislav II confirmed the donation to the monastery. In 1374 the place was called Kyssielouicz and in 1497 as Kyselowicz . The property was subsequently divided several times. In 1723 the Augustinian monastery Sternberg acquired all of Kisselowitz's shares . The Augustinian order had a baroque palace built in Kisselowitz as a mansion, which also included farm buildings, a mill and a small castle. The oldest local seal comes from this time; it showed the Virgin Mary with the baby Jesus, surrounded by two eight-pointed Sternberg stars and two plowshares. After the secularization of the monastery, Ignác Tkaný bought the estate. In 1788 a school house was built on the village green. In 1836 the school burned down and was rebuilt in the same place. Kisselowitz remained an independent estate until the middle of the 19th century .

After the abolition of patrimonial Kyselovice / Kisselowitz formed from 1850 a community in the district authority of Kremsier. The voluntary fire brigade was founded in 1889. Until 1900 the castle served as the manor and residence of the estate manager. A steam dairy was then built next to the castle and the castle became its administrative seat. Until then, Kyselovice was parish after Vlkoš. After the community bought the castle in 1900 and converted it into a rectory and created its own cemetery, Kyselovice formed its own parish. After the Second World War, the castle was demolished and a new administrative building for the dairy was built in its place in 1947. In 1976 the school was closed due to insufficient student numbers. After the schoolhouse was renovated between 1996 and 2000, it is used as a residential building, gym and rehearsal room for the local choir. Ethnographically the village belongs to Hanna .
