history
The first documentary mention of Nemeziz took place in 1261, when Ottokar II. Přemysl gave a share of the village together with Oujezd to Bishop Bruno von Schauenburg for his faithful service. In 1267 Nemziz was mentioned in the bishop's will. After his death this part formed a fief of the Olomouc bishopric . In 1320 the place was called Nemczicz . Since 1542 the diocese owned the entire village of Niemczicze . Cardinal Ferdinand Julius von Troyer had a hereditary court set up in 1747, the owners of which were exempted from labor and were given the right to serve beer, wine and brandy. In 1750 the village consisted of 19 farmers and three Podsedeken . In 1770 there were 40 thatched wooden houses in Niemczicze . Twenty years later the village had grown to 48 houses and had 325 residents. The residents initially lived from grazing. Over time, the pastures were cultivated into arable land and corn, millet, lentils, peas, hemp and flax were grown on them. Sugar beet was grown from 1838. The village has always been parish after Kostelec . Until the middle of the 19th century, the place was always subject to the episcopal estates Kroměříž .
After the abolition of patrimonial Niemczicze / Niemtschitz formed a community in the district authority Holleschau from 1850 . The current place name Němčice has been used since 1872. In 1886 a school of its own was established in Němčice, before lessons took place in Kostelec.
In 1890, 439 people lived in the village's 69 houses. In 1895 a steam threshing machine cooperative with 13 members was established. The rifle guild was founded in 1901, a cooperative for the care of cattle breeding was formed in 1903 and a second steam threshing machine cooperative a year later. In 1908 the school was expanded to include two-class classes and a gymnasium was added. On June 2, 1929, the volunteer fire brigade was formed. In the 1930 census, 543 exclusively Czech residents were counted in Němčice, who were divided between 91 houses and one railroad car. In 1961 the community was added to the Okres Kroměříž . In 1972 one of the first feed mixing plants in Czechoslovakia was built in the village. In 1976 Němčice was incorporated into Kostelec u Holešova . In 1977 the school was closed and the children were retrained to Kostelec. The schoolhouse has served as a kindergarten ever since. Since July 1, 1990, Němčice has again formed its own municipality, the seat of the municipal office is the former school building. Ethnographically the village belongs to Hanna .
