Michael Friemel (born June 10, 1974 in Dudweiler ) is a German television and radio presenter and author .

Life

After graduating from the Otto Hahn Gymnasium in his hometown, Friemel studied business administration with a focus on marketing in Saarbrücken. The business graduate then worked as a product manager at the Homburger Karlsberg Brewery on advertising campaigns for the Karlsberg Ur-Pils brand.

During his studies, Friemel began to work for radio and television . From 2001 he concentrated fully on his work as a presenter and swapped his managerial job for a job at Saarland Broadcasting Corporation . From 1997 to 2001, Friemel presented the ARD channel “Vor Acht im Erste” for Saarland Broadcasting. During the drawing of the lottery numbers he also worked as a co-moderator for the drawing of the Super 6 lottery. Friemel has been moderating regularly on SR TV since 2001 . The programs he presented included the eco magazine Kleeblatt, the music program Musikzeit and the boulevard magazine Kiosk. He currently moderates the weekly programs “Flea Market” and “WimS - Wir im Saarland”. He also presents the weather on SR television on a weekly basis before the daily news. Since the summer of 2011, Michael Friemel can be seen on SWR television as the presenter of the travel program “Da will ich hin!” He travels to destinations at home and abroad for ten episodes a year. Since 2014 he has also been moderating the ARD buffet on a representative basis .

In 2010 he was nominated for the German Radio Prize in the category Best Moderation. In 2011 he was proposed for the “Tour de Friemel” by ARD for the “Best Listener Action” award.

In SR radio Michael Friemel moderated at SR 3 Saarland wave in addition to the morning show "Good morning" alternately and the morning service magazine " Bunte radio minutes ," the afternoon show "kiosk" and the "request concert" on Sunday morning.

Friemel is married and has two sons and a daughter. The family lives in Saarbrücken.
