For many years he trained show jumpers for the Ribhege stable in Werne. During this time he also got to know the Schäfer family from Wolfschlugen , for whom he worked from 1975 to 1991. Afterwards Schlüsselburg made in Ebersbach an der Fils independently . A few years later he moved to Ilsfeld , where he runs a tournament stable. As the successor to Dietmar Näher , Schlüsselburg is the show jumping trainer of the Württemberg Equestrian Club.
