Branky (German Branek ) is located about six kilometers from Valašské Meziříčí and is a member of the microregion Valašskomeziříčsko-Kelečsko in the Moravian Zlínský kraj ( Czech Republic ). The inhabitants lived mainly from agriculture and animal husbandry.
The first mention comes from the year 1270 by the Olomouc bishop Bruno von Schauenburg .
