Jarcová (German Jarzowa ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic . It is located three kilometers south of Valašské Meziříčí in Moravian Wallachia and belongs to the Okres Vsetín .

geography

Jarcová is located at the northeastern foot of the Hostýnské vrchy on the left side above the valley of the Vsetínská Bečva . The Brdo (543 m), the Medůvka (608 m) and Poskla (534 m) rise to the south-east, the Prašivá (487 m) to the south and the Píšková (578 m) to the west. Below the village on the right side of the Vsetínská Bečva, the state road 57 and the railway between Valašské Meziříčí and Vsetín runs . The nearest train station is Brňov.

Neighboring towns are Drážky, Pod Kříkami and Valašské Meziříčí in the north, Křivé, Brdky, Podlesí and Oznice in the Northeast, Řehlov, Podhájí and Malá Lhota in the east, Brňov the southeast, Paseky, Potoky, Konvica, Bystřička and Žabárna in the south, Zavápenné, Písková and Oznice in the southwest, Krplov and Police in the west and Branky , Dolní Dvůr, Trnové, Vanová, Paseky u Revíru, Bražiska, Kotlina and Úlehla in the northwest.

history

The village was probably formed during the great colonization phase. 1392 was Jarczowa Lhota as part of the episcopal suzerainty Arnoltovice mentioned -Meziříčí first time. Since 1505 the place was called Jarczowa . Jarczowa was the seat of a bailiff , the first recorded by name can be traced back to 1516. From 1800 was taught in Jarczowa . The first school house was built in 1823. The oldest local seal dates from 1830 and shows the Jarcovská kula . The inhabitants lived from agriculture and earned an extra income selling wooden products and doing odd jobs in Krasno and Valašské Meziříčí. Jarcová was subject to the rule of Valašské Meziříčí until the middle of the 19th century.

After the abolition of patrimonial Jarczowa formed from 1850 a municipality in the district administration Valašské Meziříčí. The current form of the place name Jarcová has been used since 1872 . In 1885 the railway from Mährisch Weißkirchen to Wsetin was inaugurated. A new schoolhouse was built between 1893 and 1894. After the cancellation of the Okres Valašské Meziříčí Jarcová was assigned to the Okres Vsetín in 1960. Since 1993 the community has had a coat of arms and a banner.

  • Jarcová lookout tower, west of the village near Krplov, the 14 m high wooden structure was built by Vilém Bystroň on his property between 2008 and 2009, the tower is illuminated at night and the observation platform is eleven meters high.
