The Vsetínská Bečva (German Obere Betschwa , formerly Czech Horní Bečva ) is the left source river of the Bečva in the Czech Republic .

It rises at 910  m above sea level. NN between Čartak ( 952  m ) and Beskydek ( 953  m ) on the border with Slovakia near the hamlet of Uzgrúň between the Wsetin Mountains and the Javorníky . The villages of Leskové, Velké Karlovice , Karolinka , Nový Hrozenkov , Halenkov , Huslenky , Hovězí , Janová and Ústí u Vsetína are located on its southwestern stretch . Here the largest tributary flows into the Senice. The valley of the Vsetínská Bečva in its upper reaches forms the natural boundary between the Javorníky in the south and the Vsetínské vrchy in the north.

The Vsetínská Bečva then flows northward via Vsetín , Jablůnka , Pržno u Vsetína , Bystřička , Jarcová and Podlesí to Valašské Meziříčí , where after 58.8 km it joins the Rožnovská Bečva .
