Coat of arms of those von Chorinsky

The Chorinsky (Czech: Choriští z Ledské / Chorynský von Ledska ) were an old Moravian aristocratic family who were elevated to the Bohemian baron status in 1710 and the Bohemian count in 1761 .

history

The family is of the same tribe and coat of arms as that of Ledetz (e.g. Ledské, Ledetz Castle, Bohemia) in the Königgrätzer Kreis . It appears for the first time in a document on January 28, 1360 with the brothers Bohunko and Wilhelm as well as Balthasar de Ledecz and then divided into different branches. The branch of the Ctibor (Tiburtius) z Ledské , since 1481 on the fiefdom Choryn in Moravia, was called Chorynski or Chorinsky. The Chorynski acquired other goods, but the brothers Ctibor, Johann and Stanislaus lost them in the course of the Bohemian Uprising . After the family had regained possession and prestige, it was elevated to the bohemian baron status in the person of Karl von Chorinsky on October 24, 1710. The brothers Mathias, Franz Johann, Ignaz Dominik and Michael Wenzel received the Bohemian count on December 12, 1761. Since 1798 the family has been in possession of the colonel-hereditary flag carrier dignity of the Bohemian gentry.
