Gustav Ignaz von Chorinsky (born January 27, 1806 in Vienna ; † October 15, 1873 ibid) was a Moravian nobleman, kk civil servant and district chief of Salzburg and governor of Lower Austria and Carniola.

Life

Gustav Ignaz Graf von Chorinsky , Baron von Ledske, was a son of Count Ignaz Karl von Chorinsky (1770–1823). He began his administrative career at the district office under the Vienna Woods, in 1833 he was district commissioner in St. Pölten, and in 1836 in Linz. In 1840 he became district governor of Salzburg and in 1848 governor (today corresponds to the provincial governor) of Lower Austria, but in 1849 he was governor of Carniola. In 1860 Gustav Ignaz became governor of Moravia and Austrian Silesia. On May 21, 1862 he was again appointed governor of Lower Austria. He finally held this position until August 1, 1868. 1864-1870 he was a member of the Lower Austrian state parliament, from 1887 he belonged to the manor house.

Gustav Ignaz Graf von Chorinsky was married to Anna Böck von Greissau, his son Karl Graf von Chorinsky (1838–1897) was also Governor of Salzburg.
