Joseph Wilhelm Freiherr von Eminger (born March 18, 1801 in Znaim , † August 4, 1858 in Vienna ) was an Austrian politician .

Life

The son of a magistrate, studied Eminger after visiting a Vienna school law in Vienna, where he 1819 the fraternity Lichen circle belonged. In 1825 he was promoted to Dr. iur. PhD . He entered the civil service and became fiscal adjunct in 1830, Galician gubernial and presidential secretary in 1833, Galician gubernial councilor in 1837 and court counselor in 1847 . In 1848 he became head of the Moravian-Silesian Gubernium and in 1849 governor of the Archduchy of Austria under the Enns . In 1854 he became a Privy Councilor and in 1856 a baron .
