The Rogged Bay is a small bay on the southern tip of South Georgia . It is located immediately north of Cape Disappointment .
The name of the bay, which may have been assigned by the first sealers in the waters around South Georgia, is first found on a map by the Italian cartographer Arnaldo Faustini (1872-1944) from 1906, but for a larger and less precisely described one Bay in the vicinity. The current assignment goes back to survey work done by the South Georgia Survey between 1951 and 1952. This was confirmed by the UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee in 1954.
