Ignaz Karl von Chorinsky

Ignaz Karl Graf von Chorinsky (born March 24, 1770 in Brno , † April 14, 1823 in Vienna ) was a Moravian nobleman, imperial civil servant and most recently president of the General Court Chamber.

Life

Ignaz Karl Graf von Chorinsky , Baron von Ledske, was a son of Count Franz Johann von Chorinsky (* 1726). He began his administrative career as a district commissioner and Lower Austrian government secretary. In 1796 he was Gubernialrat and district chief in Western Galicia , from 1798 to 1804 he was Gubernialrat in Bohemia . In 1804 he became a real councilor and vice-president of the Lower Austrian provincial government and during the French occupation in 1805 he was president. In 1807 Ignaz Karl became a real state and conference councilor in the State Council . From 1811 to 1815 he was first Vice-President of the General Court Chamber as a Real Privy Councilor, then Vice Chancellor of the United Court Chancellery, Court Commissair in Moravia and Silesia and finally President of the Lower Austrian Provincial Government . From 1816 to 1822 Count Chorinsky was President of the General Court Chamber.

For his services, which he earned in Brno from 1813-1814, he received the Civil Cross of Honor First Class .

Ignaz Karl Graf von Chorinsky was married to Sophie von Mertens, his son Gustav Ignaz von Chorinsky (1806–1873) was also governor of Austria under the Enns . The daughter Franziska de Paula married the governor of Tyrol, Count Friedrich von Wilczek (1790–1861).
