Morais Abreu (born July 10, 1968 in Moxico ) is an Angolan beach volleyball player .

Career

Abreu played his first tournaments in 2007 at the FIVB World Tour with Emanuel Fernandes . At the appearances this year, the two Angolans came in 41st place. In 2008 they also competed in some Grand Slams. They reached 25th place at the Marseille Open. They qualified for the Beijing Olympics . There they had to compete in their group games against the two duos who later played for the bronze medal. Fernandes / Abreu could not win a set and were therefore eliminated after the preliminary round. After the Olympic tournament, they completed the Guarujá Open before they parted ways.

Abreu formed a new duo with Mario Silva at the end of 2008 . At the 2009 World Cup , Abreu / Silva played in the preliminary round against defending champions Rogers / Dalhausser . After three group games they were eliminated without winning a set. Then they played four grand slams and two open tournaments. Her best result was the 25th place in Sanya . After a year without a World Tour, Abreu / Silva returned to the 2011 World Cup in Rome . There they met again Rogers / Dalhausser and another US duo. As two years before, they could not win a set in their three preliminary round games. They then came in 41st place at the Grand Slams in Stavanger and Gstaad as well as the Agadir Open. In 2012 they only competed in the Grand Slam in Rome.
