history
The village was probably founded by the bishop Mikuláš von Chorin, who can be verified between 1263 and 1307. Lhotka was first mentioned in writing in 1386, when the owner of the Chorin estate , Michael von Chorin, gave his mother Filka 150 pounds from the income of Chorin and Lhota as a widow's gift after the death of his father Zawisch. The name of the village changed frequently. In 1391 it was named Lhota , 1403 after its presumed founder as Mikulawsowa Lhota , 1464 as Mediocri Lhotka , 1545 as Prostřední Lhota and 1554 as Lhota Prostřední . The latter name is derived from the fact that the village was the middle of four places called Lhota ( Lhota nad Beczwau , Radslavova Lhota , Girzina Lhota ). Since the 15th century the lords of Ledska, who called themselves Chorynský von Ledska from 1620, owned the goods. The area became deserted during the Thirty Years' War. In 1654 Lhota Prostřední consisted of eight farms and four cottages, and another three properties were desolate. Since 1675 the place name Lhota was in use. In the second hoof register from 1675, 16 properties are recorded for the village, two of which were still unmanaged. In 1718 the village was called Lhotta . The Catholic parish was Kelč until 1785 , after which the village was assigned to the newly established parish Choryně . The inhabitants of Lhota lived from agriculture. Until 1849 Lhota was always subject to Choryně and belonged to the Prerau district.
After the abolition of patrimonial Lhota formed from 1850 a municipality in the district administration Valašské Meziříčí. In 1872 the village was called Lhotta bei Chorin , the place name Lhota u Choryně can be traced back to 1893. In addition, the unofficial name Lhota Choryňská is passed down from 1914 . Lhota was enrolled in Choryně until 1957, after which the children were retrained to the Poličná primary school . After the Okres Valašské Meziříčí was abolished, the municipality was assigned to the Okres Vsetín in 1960. On January 1, 1976, Lhota u Choryně was incorporated into Valašské Meziříčí. The name of the district was in 1980 in Lhota , the cadastral district is called Lhota u Choryně . In 1991 there were 185 people in Lhota. The 2001 census counted 206 residents and 62 residential buildings.
