Lhotka nad Bečvou (German Lhota an der Betschwa , formerly Lhottka ) is a district of the municipality of Lešná in the Czech Republic . It is located five kilometers northwest of Valašské Meziříčí and belongs to the Okres Vsetín .

Lhotka nad Bečvou is located at the foot of the Moravian-Silesian Beskids and Kelčská pahorkatina in the east of the Hornomoravský úval ( Upper Moravian Basin ). The village lies on the right bank of the Bečva . The Slaná voda (414 m) rises to the northeast, the Strážka (424 m) in the south and the Choryňská stráž (375 m) to the southwest. To the northwest of the village are the ponds Velký choryňský rybník and Malý choryňský rybník. The railway line from Hranice to Vsetín runs through Lhotka . On the northern edge of the village, the European route 442 / state road I / 35 runs between Hranice and Valašské Meziříčí . To the southeast is the industrial area of ​​Valašské Meziříčí.

Neighboring towns are Lešná and Lešenský Mlýn in the north, Vysoká , Jasenice and Příluky in the north-east, Bynina in the east, Krásno nad Bečvou , Vrbí and Juřinka in the south-east, Za Vodou, Hájky and Lhota in the south, Choryně in the west and Střítežítežíteží in the south-west, Stříteží Hustopeče nad Bečvou and Poruba in the northwest.

The first written mention of the village belonging to the Krásno rule took place in 1374 under the name Žabokrky . A little later the place was called Lhotka . In 1406 the village was annexed to the rule of Lešná and called Lhotka Lešenská . The place name Lhota nad Beczwau is from 1506 and Lhotka or Žabokrky from 1540 . Other forms of the name are Lhotka Záhumne (1580), Lhotka za humny (1585), Lhota (1676) and Lhotka (1718). During the Thirty Years War the village was looted and the residents harassed. The inhabitants of the village lived from agriculture and small businesses. The village was hit several times by the Bečva floods.

After the abolition of patrimonial formed Lhotka / Lhottka 1850 a municipality in the district administration Valašské Meziříčí. From 1880 the village was called Lešenská Lhotka and between 1890 and 1910 the name Lhota u Lešné . In 1923 a school was built in the village, which was named after the president Tomáš Garrigue Masaryk . The current place name was introduced in 1924. After the cancellation of the Okres Valašské Meziříčí, Lhotka nad Bečvou was assigned to the Okres Vsetín in 1960. The school closed in 1974. In 1976 it was incorporated into Lešná. In 1991 there were 247 inhabitants in Lhotka nad Bečvou. In the 2001 census, 231 people lived in the 77 houses in the village.
