Heinrich Berka von Dubá (also: Hynko Berka von Dubá ; Czech: Hynek Berka z Dubé ; † December 29, 1333 in Prague ) was named Henrich III. Bishop of Olomouc .

Life

Heinrich was the son of the highest burgrave of the same name from the Berka von Dubá family . He is said to have been very educated and was provost in Prague. While the Olomouc bishop Konrad was still alive , King John of Luxembourg asked the incumbent Pope John XXII. To provide Heinrich as Konrad's successor. The Pope complied with this request and awarded Heinrich the Diocese of Olomouc immediately after Konrad's death in 1326, although Heinrich first had to be ordained a priest.

Heinrich remained in royal service and only rarely stayed in Olomouc. The diocesan administration was exercised by the auxiliary bishops Enoch and Theodoric , who were appointed vicars general , as well as the Prague Canon John of Padua. Heinrich died in Prague and was buried in St. Vitus Cathedral.
