John III (Olomouc)
John III (also: Johann III .; Jan III .; † February 19, 1157 ) was Bishop of Olomouc .
Little is known about the successor of the important Olomouc bishop Heinrich Zdik . He was a Premonstratensian from Strahov Monastery . According to the chronicler Vincent of Prague, John is said to have been chosen as his successor in 1150 before Zdik's burial in Strahov. The episcopal ordination took place in Mainz in the same year .
Johannes remained in the shadow of his predecessor, whose work he continued.
