John V. Bavor

Johannes V. Bavor (also: Johann Bawor ; Czech: Jan Bavor ; † October 6, 1201 in Milevsko ) was Bishop of Olomouc .

Life

Johannes von Bavor probably came from the Bohemian noble family of the Bavor von Strakonitz . He is said to have belonged to the Strahov Premonstratensian Monastery and is documented as a witness for the year 1201.

Johannes died of a stroke during the consecration of an altar in the church of the Premonstratensian monastery in Mühlhausen monastery and was buried in the monastery church of Strahov .
