Bohuslaus von Zwole ( Czech Bohuslav (Bohuš) ze Zvole ; † July 31, 1457 ) was Bishop of Olomouc .

Life

Bohuslaus came from a Moravian knight family. His father, Markwart von Zwole, was the brother of the Olomouc Bishop Konrad von Zwole .

As early as 1431 Bohuslaus received a canonical in the collegiate chapter of St. Peter in Brno , where he also became provost . From 1439 he studied in Vienna and received his doctorate as Dr. iur. utr. He then became pastor in Jamnitz and in 1447 canon and vicar general in Olomouc, where he is proven as an official for 1446 and in 1451 became chapter dean. He also owned canons in Salzburg, St. Stephan in Vienna and the Holy Cross in Breslau .

After the death of the Olomouc bishop John XIII. Haes was elected Bohuslaus von Zwole as his successor. The papal confirmation of August 16, 1454 was followed by episcopal ordination on January 12, 1455 in the Johanneskirche in Breslau .
