Pilgrim (Olomouc)
Pilgrim (also: Pilgrimus , Peregrinus ; Czech: Pelhřim ; † March 2, 1184 ) was bishop of Olomouc .
Pilgrim was provost of the cathedral in Prague . After the death of the Olomouc Bishop Dietleb in 1181 Duke Friedrich Pilgrim appointed his successor. Together with the newly elected Prague Bishop Heinrich (Břetislav) he traveled to Mainz , where both on 23 May 1182 by the Metropolitan , the episcopal ordination received.
Like his predecessors, Pilgrim also supported the expansion of the Premonstratensian order . During his tenure, the first women's monastery in Moravia , the Premonstratensian Rosa Coeli, was founded in Kanitz ( Dolní Kounice ). In 1183 he is said to have consecrated a church in Datschitz .
