Life

According to the Königsaaler Chronicle , Konrad came from Bavaria and is said to have been of simple origin. He was advisor to King John of Luxembourg and confidante of the double queen widow Elisabeth Richza . After the Archbishop of Mainz , Peter von Aspelt , stayed in Olomouc in 1316 with King Johann von Luxemburg and complained about numerous deficiencies when visiting the cathedral chapter , he recommended that the cathedral chapter choose Konrad as the successor to the late Bishop Peter II von Konitz . The election was confirmed papally in the spring of 1317 , and Peter von Aspelt was ordained a bishop .

With the support of Konrad, the queen widow Elisabeth Richza founded the Cistercian convent Maria Saal at the Marienkirche in Altbrno and appointed twelve nuns there. For built by her church in Komín ( komein built) near Brno Konrad own parish.

During his tenure he held a synod in Kremsier in 1318 , at which new diocesan statutes were passed. In the episcopal castle of Pustiměř ( Pustimir ) he built a chapel.

Bishop Konrad died on August 8, 1326 and was buried in the Olomouc Cathedral. In his will he decreed several legacies: the Olomouc cathedral chapter received half of the village Křenovice ( Krenowitz bei Kojetein ), the chapter of Kremsier the village Těšany ( Teschan ) and his successor several pontificals .
