Monuments

Also worth seeing are the spa area in Teplice nad Bečvou , the Zbraschauer aragonite caves and the Hranická propast , the deepest gorge in the Czech Republic (−244.5 m) in the vicinity of Hranice na Moravě , as well as the oldest museum of Johann Amos Comenius in Přerov .
traffic
Přerovsko is an important railway and transport hub. Hiking and cycling trails have been set up and signposted.
history
In June 1945, during the Prerau massacre, 265 mostly German refugees who wanted to return to their Slovak homeland by train from the evacuation site were murdered by Czech militias at the Prerauer / Přerov marshalling yard near Lověšice on the Schwedenschanze on the outskirts of the city.
At the beginning of 2016, the community of Luboměř pod Strážnou , which had been spun off from the Libavá military training area , was reclassified from the Okres Olomouc to the Okres Přerov.
employment
The still highest unemployment in the Czech Republic is counteracted by the development of new industrial zones.
