The military training area Libavá (Czech VVP Libavá , also Vojenský újezd Libavá ) is a special area directly belonging to the Czech state with 972 inhabitants (January 1, 2015) in the Czech Republic . It is located northeast of Olomouc in the Okres Olomouc between the towns of Šternberk , Vítkov and Odry in the Oder Mountains and has an area of 238.13 km². In the west, the Feistritz river forms the border. The seat of the military training area is Město Libavá .
history
The military training area was established in 1946 on the corridors of 24 villages including the town of Město Libavá ( town of Liebau ). The following villages became part of the military area:

- Čermná ( Groß Dittersdorf ),
- Heřmánky ( Hermsdorf ),
- Heroltovice ( Herlsdorf ),
- Jestřabí ( hawk ),
- Kozlov ( Koslau ) with Kyjanice ( Kianitz ) and Eliščiná ( Liselsberg ),
- Luboměř pod Strážnou ( Liebenthal ),
- Mastník ( Siegertsau ),
- Město Libavá ( town of Liebau ) with Dřemovice ( Drömsdorf ) and Předměstí Libavá ( suburb of Liebau ),
- Milovany ( Milbes ),
- Nepřívaz ( Epperswagen ),
- Nová Ves nad Odrou ( New Releases ),
- Nové Oldřůvky ( Neudorf ),
- Olejovice ( Oehlstadtl ),
- Barnov ( Bernhau ),
- Ranošov ( New Prussinowitz ),
- Rudoltovice ( Rudelzau ),
- Slavkov ( Schlock ),
- Smilov ( Schmeil ),
- Stará Voda u Města Libavá ( oxbow lake ),
- Údolná ( Geppertsau ),
- Varhošť ( Haslight ),
- Velká Střelná ( Groß Waltersdorf ) and
- Vojnovice ( War Village ).
On January 1, 2015, the Libavá military training area was reduced in size. As of January 1, 2016, the cadastral districts became:
- Město Libavá , Město Libavá I and Město Libavá II the municipality of Město Libavá (with Heroltovice )
- Kozlov u Velkého Újezdu and Kozlov u Velkého Újezdu I the municipality of Kozlov
- Luboměř u Potštátu formed the municipality of Luboměř pod Strážnou .
The following cadastral districts were also outsourced:
- Domašov nad Bystřicí I to the municipality of Domašov nad Bystřicí ,
- Hadinka to the municipality of Vítkov ,
- Hlubočky I , Hlubočky II , Hlubočky III and Hlubočky IV to the municipality of Hlubočky ,
- Jívová I to the municipality of Jívová ,
- Mrsklesy na Moravě I to the municipality of Mrsklesy
- Nové Oldřůvky I to the municipality of Budišov nad Budišovkou
Territorial division
The area of the military training area is determined by the boundaries of the cadastral districts of Dřemovice u Města Libavá , Čermná u Města Libavá , Předměstí u Města Libavá , Rudoltovice , Varhošť u Města Libavá and Velká Střelná . Basic settlement units are Čermná, Heroltovice, Kozlov, Kozlov-sever, Luboměř pod Strážnou, Město Libavá, Rudoltovice, Slavkov and Velká Střelná.
The area is divided into the cadastral districts of Čermná u Města Libavá, Město Libavá, Rudoltovice, Slavkov u Města Libavá and Velká Střelná.
