history

Slavětín is an old Slavic village. The royal hunter and servant at the Olomouc court, Slawata, who can be traced between 1208 and 1232, is regarded as its founder. At that time the area was owned by the sovereign and belonged to the benefices of the royal hunters. At the northern exit, the place was secured by a gate, which is still reminiscent of the field name Zábrančí for the land in front of it.

Zlauatin was first mentioned in writing in 1260 in a document from Olomouc castellan Agidius von Schwabenitz on Aussee , on which Jakub de Zlauatina also drew as a witness. In 1275 Vítek de Slawetyn was a hunter in Aussee. 1359 bought Bohuš Slavoňovský from Řimice Slaweczyn . His daughter Kateřina, married von Schönwald, followed him in 1368. From 1384 Slavětín formed together with Bílá Lhota and Šumvald a common rule. Another owner was Vítek von Lhota, who wrote the village Slawyetyn with the lease court ( zákupní rychta ) in 1407 to his wife Eliška von Kokor as a morning gift . This led a long argument with Artleb von Náměšt about a guilt due to her deceased husband. Together with the Lhotaer goods fell Slavětín after the death of her stepson Ješek Lhota to the crown home , which left the possession of Karl Wlaschim. The following owners were Ješek from Chýlec and Erazim from Slavíkovice. The latter also acquired the Víšek von Střítež belonging third of Slavietin in 1466 . In 1592, Bernard Prakšický von Zástřizl acquired the village, which had been part of the Bílá Lhota rule until then, and added it to his Haňovice rule . After the Battle of White Mountain , his property was confiscated and in 1622 the Haňovice estate was transferred to the Olomouc Cathedral Chapter. Other forms of the name were Slavětín (from 1481), Schlapetin (1604), Lobetein (1676) and Lobetin , Slavietinium (1771). In the Haniowitz land register from 1686 seven farmers and three Chalupner are shown for Slavětín. The oldest place seal dates from 1726; it shows - surrounded by a laurel wreath - a sower and is inscribed PECET DIEDINY SLAWIETINA . In 1790 the village consisted of 19 houses and had 157 inhabitants. After the road between Litovel and Konice was built, the Strykov chalet settlement , originally called Vystrkov , was formed along the road . In 1834 there were 262 people in Slavětín's 38 houses. Until the middle of the 19th century, Slavětín always belonged to the Olomouc capital.

After the abolition of patrimonial Slavětín / Slawietin formed from 1850 a municipality in the district administration Littau . The village school was built in 1876. In 1880 a post office was established in Slavětín for the villages Slavětín, Nová Ves, Měrotín, Savín, Hradečná, Kovářov, Ješov and Luká. The voluntary fire brigade was formed in 1892. Slavětín consisted of 59 houses in 1900 and had 367 inhabitants. In 1911 the school started teaching two classes.

After the dissolution of the Okres Litovel, the community came to the Okres Olomouc in 1961, and Ješov was incorporated into the municipality. In 1980 Slavětín and Ješov were incorporated into Luká . At the beginning of 1991 Slavětín broke away from Luká and formed its own community. The Catholic parish is Měrotín .
