history

The western part of the Lower Jeseník was settled by two landlords from the middle of the 13th century. While the Lords of Blauda settled the valley of the Oskava , the colonization of its left side valleys took place starting from the fiefdom of Huzová under the Olomouc bishop Bruno von Schauenburg . In the second half of the 13th century, the lords of Hrutovice had a castle built over the Sitka valley as a mansion. At the beginning of the 14th century, the owners of the fief were relatives of the Olomouc canon Stephan von Luczka, Markvart, Vok and Pavel von Hrutovice. In 1320 the village of Muchochov was first mentioned as a newly founded place in the fiefdom of the Olomouc bishop Konrad . Before 1333, the brothers Vok and Pavel built a new, larger castle - the Sovinec Castle - on newly acquired formerly sovereign property , after which they acquired the title of Sovinec from then on. The old castle lost its function and was probably left to decay. In 1371 the village was called Mutkov , after which it was not mentioned again.

When Lorenz Eder von Sstiawnicz acquired Sovinec from Christoph von Boskowitz , the desert village of Na Mutkově was listed as an accessory in 1578 . His daughter Anna brought the property inherited in 1590 into her marriage to Jan the Elder. Ä. Kobylka from Kobylí. He had the village repopulated at the beginning of the 17th century. In 1606 the desert toll village was mentioned for the last time , seven years later the village was referred to as von der Mauth . Jan d. Ä. Kobylka von Kobylí had to sell his goods to Karl von Liechtenstein because of his participation in the class uprising after the battle of the White Mountain . This sold the rule in 1623 for 200,000 guilders to the Teutonic Order . The registers were kept in Huzová since 1656 . Other forms of name were Mautzendorf (from 1676), Mautzndorf (1692), Mautzendorfium , Mutkowa (1771), Motkow (from 1793), Mauzendorf (from 1834) and Molkov (from 1839). Until the middle of the 19th century, Mautzendorf always remained subordinate to the fiefdom of the German house belonging to the Eulenburg rule.

After the abolition of patrimonial formed Mauzendorf / Molkov 1850 with the hamlet Passekgrund / Pasecký Grunt a municipality in the district administration and the judicial district of Sternberg . After 1854, the population began to decline steadily. In 1880 the road to Sternberg was built. Mutkov was used as the Czech name from 1893 . In 1921, 273 people lived in the 51 houses in Mauzendorf . In 1930 the village had 260 inhabitants, in 1939 only 226.

According to the Munich Agreement , the place was incorporated into the German Reich on October 10, 1938 and belonged to the Sternberg district until 1945 . After the end of the war, Mutkov returned to Czechoslovakia and the German population was expelled.

The village school was closed in 1946. In the same year three houses burned down. In 1950 Mutkov consisted of 50 houses and had 92 residents. In 1959 the district Pasecký Žleb was reorganized to Paseka . After the abolition of the Okres Šternberk, the place was assigned to the Okres Olomouc in 1960 and at the same time incorporated into Paseka. At that time Mutkov consisted of 26 houses in which 50 people lived. In 1993 Mutkov broke away from Paseka and formed its own community.
