history

The first written message about Drahanowicz comes from the year 1322. The first mention of the Drahanowicz fortress was in 1351; it is believed that it originated at the transition from the 13th to the 14th century. The existence of the Drahanowicz parish can be documented since 1349; According to the parish chronicle, it is said to have been founded in 1341. The place was the seat of various lower aristocratic families who used the Drahanowicz predicate . At the beginning of the 15th century they included the Tunkl von Drahanowicz and later the Drahanovský von Stvolová . From 1427 the place was called Drahanovice and 1594 Drahnov . After the Battle of White Mountain , the property of Vratislav Bernard Drahanovský von Stvolová was confiscated. Then the owners of Drahanovice changed in quick succession and in 1724 the rule was attached to Čechy pod Kosířem . The registers have been kept on site since 1709. Other forms of the name were Drahanowitz (from 1633) and Drahanovitium (1771). There is evidence of a school since 1798. The fortress was canceled in 1805 - with the exception of the Black Tower. In 1837, 462 people lived in the 77 houses in the village. Until the middle of the 19th century, the village always remained subservient to Čechy pod Kosířem.

After the abolition of patrimonial formed Drahanovice or Drahonovice / Drahanowitz 1850 a municipality in the district administration Olomouc . The inhabitants of the village lived from agriculture. In 1861 August Graf Sylva-Taroucca founded a sugar factory in Drahanowitz. This was converted in 1870 into the joint stock company of the kk private sugar factory in Drahanowitz . In 1876 a great fire destroyed almost the entire village and the sugar factory. Since 1890 the Czech place name Drahanovice found official use. At the beginning of the 20th century, the sugar factory was renamed the joint-stock company of the peasant sugar factory in Drahanowitz / Akciové společnosti rolnického cukrovaru na Drahanovicku , whose main shareholder was Franz Freiherr Klein . After the other shareholders had bought up the Kleinsche share majority in 1914, the company was renamed the Rural Actien Sugar Factory in Drahanowitz / Rolnický akciový cukrovar v Drahanovicích . Since 1921 the community belonged to the Okres Olomouc-venkov. In 1924 the village was electrified. The railway station was built in 1928. In 1915, 1924, 1938, 1947 and 1954 Drahanovice was flooded when the Zlatá stružka flooded. The sugar factory was nationalized in 1947. From 1949 the municipality belonged to the Okres Olomouc-okolí and since 1961 it belongs to the Okres Olomouc . In 1951 the machine station burned down. In June 1960 Ludéřov (with Kníničky and Střížov) and Lhota pod Kosířem were incorporated. At the beginning of the 21st century, the sugar factory went bankrupt and was shut down.
