In 1910 both villages came to the Šternberk District . In the 1910 census, 541 Germans and nine Czechs lived in Markersdorf. In 1930 399 people lived in Hradec / Grätz, in Markersdorf there were 613.

After the Munich Agreement , both places were annexed to the German Reich and belonged to the district of Sternberg from 1939 to 1945 . Between 1945 and 1960 Hradečná and Hradec were again part of the Okres Šternberk and were assigned to the Okres Olomouc after its dissolution in 1961 .

The municipality of Nová Hradečná was formed in 1960 by the union of the municipalities of Hradečná and Hradec. In 1976 it was incorporated into Troubelice, and the municipality has existed again since 1990.
