history
In the course of the Josephine reforms , the Augustinian monastery in Sternberg was also dissolved in 1784 . The Žerotín manor belonged to the possessions of the order . The Strokanice / Strokowitz settlement was laid out in 1789 on part of its corridors, for which no new owner had been found . The new location was likely named after the official who distributed the land to the new settlers. From 1850 Strokowitz belonged to the Šternberk District. In 1880 the place name was changed to Strokov / Strokowitz . In 1921 the place name Strukov / Strukowitz became official.
In the course of the territorial reform of 1960, Strukov was merged with Žerotín to form the municipality of Žerotín-Strukov on January 1, 1961. At the same time, the Okres Šternberk was dissolved and the new municipality was assigned to the Okres Olomouc. On November 24, 1990, the municipality Žerotín-Strukov dissolved and Strukov became independent again. 79 houses are entered in the land register for Strukov.
