Bělkovice-Lašťany is a municipality in the Czech Republic . It is located ten kilometers northeast of the city center of Olomouc and belongs to the Okres Olomouc . The village was established in 1960 when Bělkovice and Lašťany merged.

geography

Bělkovice-Lašťany is located on both sides of the Trusovický potok at the western foot of the Oder Mountains in the Hanna . The Komolá (438 m) rises to the northeast and the Skalice (484 m) to the east.

Neighboring towns are Šternberk and Domašov u Šternberka in the north, Jívová in the northeast, Pohořany in the east, Véska and Nové Sady in the southeast, Dolany and Dolánky in the south, Bohuňovice in the southwest and Štarnov in the northwest.

history

The area of ​​the municipality was already settled in prehistoric times. The oldest finds in Lašťany date from the Neolithic between 4000 and 3000 BC. A Bronze Age ax was found in Bělkovice , which dates back to around 2000 BC. Is dated.

Lašlicheany was first mentioned in a document in 1078 when the Hradisko monastery was founded by Margrave Otto I and his wife Euphemia. The village "Ugezd Lasene" was one of the villages that Otto donated to the monastery.

Bělkovice can be traced back to 1238 and belonged to the estates of the Šternberk Castle . The Gywowska cesta ( Giebauer Weg ) led through the village past the Twingenberg Castle, built in the 14th century under Margrave Karl, via the Niedere Jeseník to the Opava province .

After the abolition of patrimonial the municipality of Lašťany belonged to the Šternberk district from 1850 . At that time Bělkovice was part of the Olomouc Region and from 1921 the Olomouc-Venkov Region. After the Munich Agreement and the division of the Šternberk district, the Czech-settled municipality of Bělkovice remained in Czechoslovakia and was incorporated into the Olomouc region.

After the end of the Second World War, Bělkovice came back to Okres Šternberk, which was dissolved in the course of the territorial reform of 1960. Lašťany was until this point in time part of the Okres Olomouc-okolí, which was also abolished. When this reform came into effect, the two communities were also united under the name Bělkovice-Lašťany .

At the beginning of 2007 the place consisted of 653 houses.
