Bílsko is located in the northwest of the Drahaner Bergland in the headwaters of the Bílský potok, a tributary to the Blata . The hill Skalky (356 m) rises to the south.
Neighboring towns are Loučka in the north, Cholinský Dvorek and Cholina in the northeast, Odrlice in the east, Senička in the southeast, Cakov in the south, Vilémov in the southwest, Pratná and Luká in the west and Ješov and Slavětín in the northwest.
history
According to the historian Ladislav Hosák, the village was first mentioned in a document in 1349, but he gave no source for this finding. The existence of the village of Bílsko , which belongs to the Chudobín rule , is only guaranteed by a document from 1672 in which the owner of the rule, Andreas Leopold Volčinský von Volčín, transferred the Občina forest to the village. The place was probably desolate since the Thirty Years' War , like many of the ruler's villages, and was then repopulated by Germans. Until the abolition of patrimonial Bílsko remained subservient to Chudobín. In 1850 the village came to the Litovel Political District , where the responsible district court was also located.
After the dissolution of the Okres Litovel, Bílsko came to the Okres Olomouc in 1960. On January 1, 1980, it was incorporated into Cholina. The municipality of Bílsko has existed again since 1990. Since 1996 there is a branch of the social welfare institution Nové Zamky. In 2003 the village received a coat of arms and a banner.
