In 1365 the place was referred to as Hlubiczki , 1370 as Hobuk , 1391 as Hlubeczke , from 1406 as Hluboczke , Hluboczky and Hlubočky . After the castle fell during the Hussite Wars , Hluboké was annexed to the Velká Bystřice domain in 1437 . In 1589 the Olomouc cathedral chapter bought the dominion. After the Thirty Years War, the village was Germanized. The registers were kept in Velká Bystřice since 1651. Other forms of name were Hluboczecz (1447), Hlubočec (from 1480), Hlubuček (from 1511), Hluboček (from 1519), Hohnboch or Hahnpach (from 1677), Humpockh (1718), Hombok (from 1752), Hlobučko (1771) and Hlobočec , Hloboček , Hlobuček (1847). With the founding of an ironworks by Johann Zwierzina in 1827, the change from a small woodcutter and rafting village to an industrial community began. Across from Hombok , the workers' colony Marienthal was built next to the hut , which was assigned to the Nirklowitz cadastre in 1846 . Until the middle of the 19th century, Hombok always belonged to the Olomouc capitular rule Groß Wisternitz .

After the abolition of patrimonial formed Hombock / Hluboček 1850 a municipality in the district administration and the judicial district Olomouc . In 1854 the iron merchant Ignaz Karl Machanek had the iron hammer north of the village converted into a nail factory. The nail factory and the Marienthaler Eisenwerke became part of the Hombok and Marienthaler Eisenwaren industrial and trading stock corporation "Moravia" based in Olomouc, which also operated an electricity company in Hombok. In 1921 Hombok had 1,338 inhabitants, of which 1,091 were Germans and 247 Czechs. Since then, the official Czech place name Hlubočky has been used. In 1930 there were 1511 people in the community. After the Munich Agreement , Hombok was added to the German district of Bärn and the judicial district of the city of Liebau in 1938. On July 1, 1939, Nirklowitz was incorporated with Marienthal. As a result, the population of the municipality of Hombok grew to 2,424 in the same year. After the end of the Second World War, Hlubočky came back to Czechoslovakia and the districts of Mariánské Údolí and Mrsklesy were reassigned to Velká Bystřice . In 1974 Posluchov and in 1975 Mariánské Údolí and Hrubá Voda were incorporated. The community has had a coat of arms since 1993.
