The Bystřice (German Feistritz , also Fister , Bistritza or Wisternitzbach ) is a left tributary of the March in the Czech Republic .
It rises in the Lower Jeseník (Nízký Jeseník) northwest of the 800 meter high Sonnenkoppe (Slunečná). On the course of the river there are the villages Dětřichov nad Bystřicí (Dittersdorf ad Feistritz), Ondrášov (Andersdorf) and Sedm Dvorů ( Siebenhöfen ), where the Důlní potok, coming from Moravský Beroun , joins.
Below Domašov nad Bystřicí , the river cuts through the Oder Mountains in a deep valley , there is the Libavá military training area on the left bank of the river , which extends to Hlubočky (Hombok). Other places on the river are Velká Bystřice (Großwisternitz) and Bystrovany (Bistrowan). In its lower reaches, the Bystřice flows westward into the urban area of Olomouc (Olmütz), where it flows into the March in the district of Hodolany (Hodolein) after 53.9 kilometers. The Bystřice drains an area of 267 square kilometers.
