history

The first written mention of Parvo Senicz took place in 1348. In 1349 the place was called Parva Syeniczka , 1364 as Parva Czynicz , from 1371 as Parva Seniczka , from 1389 as Seniczka , from 1447 as Malá Senička , from 1460 as Malá Senice and 1508 as Parva Senicz called. The village was divided among various secular and spiritual owners, with the former also changing frequently. The Obere Mühle has been documented since 1382. In 1399, when the Margrave Prokop invaded , the Kapitularhof was devastated. The Vladiks of Dubčany held a large part of the village from the first half of the 15th century, another considerable part belonged to the Lysov Fortress. The lords of Kunstadt on Senice acquired the latter share at the end of the Hussite Wars . Elisabeth von Kunstadt auf Lysov had the Lysov farm parceled out in 1465 and sold to the subjects of Malá Senice . The Olomouc cathedral chapter gradually acquired the various shares; With the purchase of the share of the minor children of the Havel Chudobínský from Bařice, the chapter in 1538 became the sole landlord of Parva Senicz . The registers have been kept in Senice na Hané since 1714. The Kapitularhof Klein Senitz was closed and parceled out in 1787. Malá Senice / Klein Senitz always remained an Olomouc capitol village until the middle of the 19th century .

After the abolition of patrimonial formed Senicky / Small Senitz 1850 a municipality in the district administration Littau . The village school was inaugurated in 1853, and lessons in the village had been taking place since 1848. A new school building was inaugurated in 1890. Since 1894 the community used the Czech place name Malá Senice and since 1905 Senička . The volunteer fire brigade was founded in 1910. In 1914 the local railway Littau – Groß Senitz was put into operation. The German place name was changed from Klein Senitz to Kleinsenitz in 1915 . During the German occupation , the German place name Klein Zinitz was introduced from 1939 . After the dissolution of the Okres Litovel, the community came to the Okres Olomouc in 1961, at the same time Odrlice was incorporated. In 1974 it was incorporated into Senice na Hané . The school was closed the following year. After the Velvet Revolution , Senička broke away from Senice in 1991 and formed its own community. In 1993, schooling was resumed in Senička. On July 8, 2012, in the summer heat, the sealing of an agricultural slurry tank broke, causing 400,000 liters of slurry to enter the Blata and poison the river over a length of 15 kilometers.
