history

The first written mention of the place took place in 1293, when Duke Nikolaus von Troppau sold the villages Žákovice and Libosváry to Zbyslav von Bohuslavice. In 1375 the village was called Zakowitz , 1376 as Czakowitz , from 1377 as Zakowicze , 1404 as Zackowicz , 1417 as Žákovice , 1675 as Žiakowitz , from 1718 as Ziakowitz , 1751 as Zwilkowitz and 1771 as Schakowitz . The original village consisted of a row of houses around the village square and was protected by two gates. In the 16th century the village became part of the Dřevohostice estate . In 1617, Charles the Elder of Zerotein sold the estate with the associated villages Turovice , Nahošovice , Hradčany , Šišma , Pavlovice , Prusínky, Kladníky , Bezuchov , Oprostovice , Žákovice, Mrlínek , Sovadina, Lhota , Radkovy , Lipovilá and Křtomilá to Jan 95,000 Skrbenský from Hříště. Because of his participation in the class uprising in 1618, he lost his property after the battle of the White Mountain . The Dřevohostice estate was sold to Zdeněk Vojtěch Popel von Lobkowicz . Zdenek son Wenzel Eusebius of Lobkowicz sold the villages Šišma, Kladníky, Bezuchov, Oprostovice, Žákovice, Mrlínek, Sovadina, Radkova Lhota, Radkovy, Lipová and Křtomil to the owner of the rule in 1635 Bystřice pod Hostýnem , Johann Anton von Rottal . The registers have been kept in Soběchleby since 1718.

After the abolition of patrimonial Žákovice / Zakowitz formed from 1850 a municipality in the district authority Holleschau . A small hydroelectric power station was set up in the Žákovský Mlýn water mill in the 20th century. During the German occupation in 1942 the community was assigned to the Mährisch Weißkirchen district , after the end of the Second World War, Žákovice came back to Okres Holešov in 1945. After its abolition, the community was assigned to Okres Přerov in 1960. In 1976 Žákovice was affiliated to the Local National Committee Soběchleby and in 1983 it was completely incorporated into Soběchleby. Since 1991 Žákovice has formed its own municipality again. Žákovice has had a coat of arms and a banner since 1995.
