Býškovice , until 1924 Biškovice (German Bischkowitz ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic . It is located eight kilometers north of Bystřice pod Hostýnem and belongs to the Okres Přerov .

geography

Býškovice is located between the Kelečská pahorkatina ( Keltsch hill country ) and the Maleník forest on the brook Býškovický potok. The Mezicestí (337 m) and the Hranečníky (333 m) rise in the north, the Boží muka (351 m) to the northeast and the Pavelák (366 m) and Maleník (479 m) in the northwest .

Neighboring towns are Rakov in the north, Opatovice , Malhotice and Dolni Těšice in the Northeast, Rouské the east, Všechovice , Příleský Mlyn, Trávník, Drholec and Provodovice the southeast, Horní Újezd and Libosváry in the south, Vítonice , Sovadina, Blazice , Žákovice and Žákovský Mlyn in South-west, Símře and Horní Nětčice in the west and Dolní Nětčice in the north-west.

history

The Býškovice area is part of an early settlement area not far from the Amber Road . The oldest archaeological finds in the municipality can be assigned to the urn field culture.

The first written mention of Výškovice took place in 1131. From 1372 the place was called Wyskowicz . In 1474 bought Wilhelm II. Of Pernštejn together with the Helfenstein Castle also Býškovice . In 1554 Půta von Ludanitz acquired the rule. Further forms of the name were Bíškovice (1530), Wyškowic (1566), Byskowitz and Beskowitz (1672), Bisskowitz (1690), Wiskopitz (1720) and Bischkowitz (1771). During the Thirty Years' War the Dietrichsteiner acquired the Helfenstein rule and made Leipnik their new seat. The registers were kept in Všechovice since 1738. The oldest local seal comes from the middle of the 18th century. The first school was established at the beginning of the 19th century. Until the middle of the 19th century, the village was always subject to the rule of Leipnik.

After the abolition of patrimonial formed Biškovice / Bisch Kowitz 1850 a municipality in the district administration Holleschau . A new school building was inaugurated in 1883. The village has been called Býškovice since 1924 . During the German occupation , Býškovice / Bischkowitz was assigned to the Mährisch Weißkirchen district in 1942 . After the end of the Second World War, the community came back to Okres Holešov in 1945. After its abolition, Býškovice was added to the Okres Přerov in 1960. Between 1976 and 1990 Býškovice was affiliated to the Local National Committee Opatovice . The school closed in 1984. Since 1990 Býškovice has formed its own municipality again.

Attractions

  • Chapel of St. Anna in the village square. It was built in the middle of the 18th century in place of a wooden bell tower. In a niche at the front of the chapel there was a valuable wooden figure of St. Florian, which came from a wooden chapel. It was sold and protected by a figure of St. Replaces Anna.
