Michele Coltellini
Michele Coltellini , also Michele Cortellini or Michele di Luca dei Coltellini (* around 1480 in Ferrara ; † 1543 ) was an Italian Renaissance painter who worked in Ferrara and Bologna.
Little data is known of Coltellini's life. He initially worked in Ferrara in the vicinity of Francesco del Cossa and Domenico Panetti , who belong to the Ferrara school . After moving to Bologna, his paintings show Umbrian influences. Altar pictures and small-format devotional pictures influenced by Flemish painting have been preserved.
