The Krupinica (German Karpfenbach , Hungarian Korpona ) is a 65 km long river in the middle of Slovakia and a right tributary of the Ipeľ .

The river has its source in the Javorie Mountains on the western slope of Veľký Lysec ( 886  m nm ) in the area of the Pliešovce municipality and flows south in a semicircle around Pliešovce, where the river turns west, before finally flowing south again after Babiná . It flows through the city of Krupina and forms the border between the Schemnitz Mountains and the Krupinská planina (Carp Plateau) before it continues through the Krupinská planina. At Plášťovce , the Litava, its largest tributary, increases before it flows into the Ipeľ river west of the town of Šahy .
