The canton Vannes-2 (Breton canton Gwened-2 ) is a French constituency in the arrondissement of Vannes , in the department of Morbihan and in the region of Brittany . Its main town is Vannes .

history

The canton was created on March 22, 2015 due to the reorganization of the cantons in France. In 2015, all six municipalities of the previous canton of Vannes-Ouest , two municipalities of the canton Auray (Bono and Plougoumelen) and one municipality of the canton Grand-Champ (Plescop) moved to the new canton.

The canton is located in the south of the Morbihan department.
