The canton Auray (Breton canton An Alre ) is a French administrative unit in the arrondissement of Lorient , in the south of the department of Morbihan and in the region of Brittany . Its main town is Auray . Marie-Jo Le Breton ( non-party ) has been a representative in the General Council of the Département since 2014 .

history

The canton was established on February 15, 1790. From 1801 to 2015, nine municipalities belonged to the canton of Auray. With the reorganization of the cantons in France, Bono and Plougoumelen moved to the new canton of Vannes-2 in 2015 .

Canton of Auray until 2015
