The canton Pontivy (Breton canton Pondi ) is a French constituency in the arrondissement Pontivy , in the department of Morbihan and in the region of Brittany ; its main town is Pontivy .
history
The canton was established on February 15, 1790. From 1801 to 2015, ten municipalities belonged to the canton of Pontivy. With the reorganization of the cantons in France, all communes of the previous canton of Baud switched to the canton of Pontivy in 2015 .

The canton is located in the center and north of the Morbihan department on the border with the Côtes-d'Armor department .
