The canton Pluvigner (Breton canton Pleuwigner ) is a French constituency in the arrondissement of Lorient , in the department of Morbihan and in the region of Brittany ; its main town is Pluvigner .

The canton is located in the western part of the Morbihan department near Lorient .
history
The canton was established on February 15, 1790. From 1801 to 2015, five municipalities belonged to the canton of Pluvigner. With the reorganization of the cantons in France, five of the nine municipalities in the canton of Port-Louis and one municipality from Hennebont were added.

Canton Pluvigner until 2015
Until the nationwide reorganization of the cantons in 2015, the old canton of Pluvigner comprised five municipalities on an area of 200.47 km². These were: Brech , Camors , Landaul , Landévant and Pluvigner (main town).
