Antonia "Toni" Garrn (born July 7, 1992 in Hamburg ) is a German model and actress .

Life

Garrn grew up in Hamburg, London and Athens . It was discovered by Modelwerk at a fan festival for the 2006 World Cup in Hamburg . Her international breakthrough came the following year when she was booked exclusively for Calvin Klein . The campaigns for Calvin Klein and CK Jeans appeared in 2008. After graduating from high school Ohlstedt in Hamburg, she also moved to New York City to work professionally as a model. She has also appeared in campaigns for Burberry , Chloé , Closed , Dior , Donna Karan , Etro , Emporio Armani , Fendi , Hugo Boss , Jill Stuart , Jil Sander , Prada and Versace .

In autumn 2008 she was booked for 54 fashion shows at the collection premieres in Milan , Paris and New York. In November 2011 she ran for the first time for Victoria's Secret at the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show in New York. In addition to being a catwalk model, she was also featured in fashion photo series in magazines such as Vogue , Harper's Bazaar and W , as well as on the covers of Numéro and German, Italian and Russian Vogue . Among the photographers were Steven Meisel , Peter Lindbergh , Karl Lagerfeld , Manfred Baumann , Paolo Roversi , David Sims , Mario Sorrenti , Miles Aldridge and Steven Klein .

On the website “models.com” in March 2010 Garrn was ranked 11th among the most important models worldwide. She has been working for L'Oréal Paris since 2012 . Since March 2015, she has been the face of the new Jil Sander perfume. Since July 2014 Garrn has been the new ambassador for the “Because I Am a Girl” campaign of the children's aid organization Plan International . She has been supporting Plan International since 2008: at the age of sixteen she took on her first sponsorship for a girl in Vietnam . Now she has expanded her commitment and supports a project in Burkina Faso with a donation for a teacher project. Together with Plan International, she founded the “Toni Garrn Foundation”. As a member of the Weitblick initiative, she is also committed to more equitable access to education worldwide.

Garrn was in a relationship with Leonardo DiCaprio from 2013 to 2014 . From 2015 to 2016 she was with the US - basketball player Chandler Parsons dating. Since December 24, 2019, Garrn has been engaged to British actor Alex Pettyfer , with whom she has been in a relationship since early 2019.
