Le Sourn ( Breton : Ar Sorn ) is a French municipality with 2107 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Morbihan in the region of Brittany . It belongs to the community association Pontivy Communauté .

Le Sourn is located in the north of the Morbihan department and belongs to the Pays de Pontivy.

- Saint-Thuriau to the east and south-east,
- Pluméliau-Bieuzy with Pluméliau in the south and Bieuzy in the southwest,
- Guern in the southwest,
- Malguénac in the northwest.
Due to its proximity to the city of Pontivy, the place is close to roads for national traffic. The most important road connection is the D700 / D768 (formerly Route nationale 168 ), which passes a few kilometers east of the municipality.
The most important bodies of water are the Blavet River and the Moulin du Petit Resto , Moulin de Kerdisson and Kerdanet streams . In some parts these also form the municipal boundary.

history
Historically, the municipality belongs to the Breton region of Bro Gwened (French: Vannetais) and within this region to the Bro Pondi (French: Pays de Pontivy) area and shares its history. It was created in 1869 from parts of the municipalities of Bieuzy, Guern and Malguénac.
