Forges de Lanouée is a French commune with 2,223 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Morbihan in the region of Brittany . It belongs to the arrondissement of Pontivy and the canton of Ploërmel .

It was created as Commune nouvelle with effect from January 1, 2019 through the amalgamation of the previous municipalities of Les Forges and Lanouée , which have the status of a Commune déléguée in the new municipality . The administrative headquarters are in Lanouée.

geography

The municipality is located around 18 kilometers northwest of Ploërmel . The river Oust and the Canal de Nantes à Brest, which runs parallel here, run along the southwestern municipal boundary . The Lié River , which flows into the Oust, runs along the western border . In the far south, the motorway-like route Nationale N24 touches the area over a short stretch. Are neighboring communities
