geography

Kergrist is located in the north of the Morbihan department on the border with the Côtes-d'Armor department and belongs to the Pays de Pontivy.

Neighboring municipalities are the municipalities of Guerlédan in the Côtes-d'Armor department with the Commune déléguée Mûr-de-Bretagne in the north-west, Saint-Connec in the north and Hémonstoir in the north-east, Croixanvec in the south-east, Saint-Gérand in the south and Neulliac in the south and west .

Because of its location on the border of the department, the place is a bit away from roads for national traffic. To the west of Kergrist, the D767 runs from Pontivy to Mûr-de-Bretagne. The most important road connections are the D700 / D768 (formerly Route nationale 168 ), which passes several kilometers southeast of the municipality, and the N164 in the north.

The most important bodies of water are the Perchénic and Kergal streams . The Perchénic also partially forms the municipality and department boundary. There are also several ponds in the municipality.
