Billio ( Breton : Bilioù ) is a French municipality with 353 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Morbihan in the region of Brittany .
geography
Billio is located in the southern part of Brittany in the center of the Morbihan department and belongs to the Pays de Pontivy.
Neighboring municipalities are Guéhenno in the north-west and north, Cruguel in the east, Plumelec in the south and Saint-Jean-Brévelay in the south-west.
The D126 runs through the eastern part of the municipality as a connection from Vannes via Plumelec to Josselin and in the western part the D10 from Vannes via Saint-Jean-Brévelay to Josselin. The N24 from Lorient to Rennes is important for national traffic . This runs several kilometers north of the municipality and can be reached via Guéhenno.

history
Historically, the municipality belongs to the Breton region of Bro-Gwened (French: Vannetais) and within this region to the area of Reter Bro Gwened (French: Vannetais oriental) and shares its history. From 1801 until its dissolution on September 10, 1926, it belonged to the Arrondissement of Ploërmel. From 1793 until its dissolution in 1801, Billio belonged to the canton of Plumelec. Since then, the municipality has been assigned to the canton of Saint-Jean-Brévelay.
