La Chapelle-Neuve ( Breton : Ar Chapel-Nevez ) is a French commune of 980 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Morbihan in the region of Brittany .
geography
La Chapelle-Neuve is located in the southern part of central Brittany and belongs to the Pays de Pontivy.
Neighboring municipalities are Guénin in the north-west and north, Plumelin in the north-east and east, Moustoir-Ac in the south-east, Brandivy in the south, Pluvigner in the south-west and Camors and Baud in the west.
The N24 passes north of the municipality. The river Tarun flows in an east-west direction across the municipality.

history
Historically, the municipality belongs to the Breton region of Bro-Gwened (French: Vannetais) and within this region to the Bro Baod (French: Pays de Baud) area and shares its history. The place belonged to the community Plumelin until 1867.
